Mural Walks
You’ve stopped to smell the roses, and now it’s time to stop and admire the art! Walk along 3rd Street between Harrisburg’s Midtown Neighborhood to the Capitol Complex to see a variety of colorful murals from both local artists and world-renowned muralists. 3rd Street is the heart of the Harrisburg Arts District, so this walk may also inspire you to pop into galleries or make plans to see attend a theatre or live music event.
The mural pictured above is named "Mother." Local artist Aron Rook was inspired by a theme of maternal or motherly care. The artist describes the mural scene as “a magical mama figure protecting the children in the neighborhood.”
