Visit Hershey & Harrisburg was proud to join the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg in welcoming the Asia Foundation's Young Asian Diplomats program to tour our region. Ten diplomats represented Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Mongolia, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
The visit began with a reception at the PA State Capitol, followed by guided tours of the capitol, Harrisburg's Midtown neighborhood, the National Civil War Museum, the State Museum of PA, Hershey's Chocolate World, The Hershey Story Museum and more. Our team was honored to share the region's history and character throughout the weekend.
Thank you to Joyce Davis and the team at World Affairs Council of Harrisburg for helping to facilitate the event, and to the many local leaders who took the time to welcome the group including:
Dauphin County Commissioner Justin Douglas, Cumberland County Commissioner Jean Foschi, Susquehanna Township Commissioner Fred Faylona, Historic Harrisburg Association Executive Director David Morrison, HYP Board Member Olivia Edwards Rindfuss.
