Harrisburg, PA (April 7, 2025) - Cheers to 5 Years! Visit Hershey & Harrisburg (VHH), is celebrating the 5th Anniversary of the Hershey Harrisburg Brew Barons Beer Trail. The Beer Trail is a free, interactive mobile app featuring 25+ craft breweries that allows guests to find breweries, check in, and earn prizes. The app has been reset to encourage both new sign-ups and reengagement from past guests.
“The Hershey Harrisburg Region is a premier craft beer destination. The wide variety of craft breweries, paired with their proximity to the iconic attractions, diverse arts & culture, live events, and outdoor recreation opportunities, draw craft beer enthusiasts and casual tasters alike to enjoy a complete destination experience,” said VHH President & CEO Sharon S. Myers.
The most recent data from the Craft Brewers Association (2023) shows the craft beer industry contributed $5.4 billion to Pennsylvania’s economy and supported more than 30,000 jobs. “Visit Hershey & Harrisburg’s investment in promoting the Brew Barons Beer Trail both locally and to audiences in defined drive markets elevates awareness of our region’s variety of craft breweries, ensuring that ready-to-taste-and-travel guests keep our region top of mind when planning their next getaway,” said Myers.
5th Anniversary highlights include all-new prizes for guests interacting with the mobile app in 2025, the upcoming release of three versions of the “Baron V” summer craft beer collab project, the introduction of the new Brew Barons mascot, and multi-media promotion efforts including ad campaigns, brewery profiles and videos, and event sponsorships.
“Baron V” Summer Craft Beer Collab
Three unique craft beer collabs will be released this summer. Three groups of four breweries each are working on recipes for their version of Baron V – named to honor the Beer Trail’s 5th anniversary.
“Craft beer enthusiasts seek out new flavors,” said Myers. “Having three limited-time releases available at different locations at different times throughout the summer is an exciting way to cross promote the breweries and to drive more visitors to their doors,” she continued.
