The 2025 Pennsylvania Greenways & Trails Summit is one of ten recipients of the 2026 Tom Petri Recreational Trails Program (RTP) Annual Achievement Awards. The awards, coordinated by the Coalition for Recreational Trails, honor outstanding use of federal Recreational Trails Program funds across nine states.
Administered by the Federal Highway Administration, RTP demonstrates the power of partnerships linking federal agencies, state trail programs, local governments and trail enthusiasts.
Visit Hershey & Harrisburg and Dauphin County Parks & Recreation worked alongside WeConservePA and the Hilton Harrisburg to host the 2025 Pennsylvania Greenways & Trails Summit: Capital Connections to Greener Pathways.
The September event was the 13th statewide Greenways & Trails Summit, achieving record attendance and expanded educational sessions. WeConservePA led the summit utilizing an RTP Education grant awarded by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
We’re honored that this award for “Engaging Public Sector Partners” recognizes the way local and organizational partnerships can elevate a conference experience to deliver top-tier educational sessions, events, mobile workshops and a robust list of summit sponsors.
