Whether you’ve arrived in our region by plane, train, or automobile, there’s another set of “rides” you might like to try. All unique, each offers an experience you can only find in the Hershey Harrisburg Region!

On a beautiful day in Harrisburg, you’re sure to spot the red and white Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat cruising down the river. This unique paddlewheel boat is one of the last remaining in the country and offers unparalleled views of the Harrisburg city skyline. Climb aboard for one of her daily sightseeing tours, offering daily from City Island. Reserve a table at one of their special evening events, like dinner cruises, sunset happy hours, or moonlight party voyages. Sail with the Susquehanna River School, where a 75-minute Saturday morning cruise turns into a floating school, specializing in the natural history of the Susquehanna River!

Horse-Drawn Carriage

Explore our region by horsepower with a carriage ride across the Susquehanna River and around Harrisburg. The South Mountain Carriage Company offers horse-drawn city tours, dinner date rides, family rides up to 10 people, and special memories you’ll never forget! Like the Pride, the horse-drawn carriages leave from City Island, for an out-of-the-ordinary ride double feature!

Hot Air Balloon

Get a bird’s eye view of Hershey, PA from the basket of a hot air balloon! New for 2018, the U.S. Hot Air Balloon Team offers sunrise and sunset rides, soaring over the highest coasters at Hersheypark and taking in majestic views of our region’s picturesque farmland and the city of Harrisburg. Hershey’s hot air balloons launch from the AACA Museum, Inc., and balloon guests are invited to explore the museum’s collection of antique rides including cars, buses, trucks, and motorcycles!

Safari Bus

Yes, you can take a safari in Central Pennsylvania! At Lake Tobias Wildlife Park in Halifax, get up-close-and-personal with herds of animals and flocks of flightless birds in an open-air safari cruiser. More than 500 animals freely roam the safari tour grounds and are sociable enough to approach the bus for a handful of carrots, pellets, and popcorn!

Horseback Riding

Saddle up! Our experienced equestrian experts will introduce you to some beautiful, well-mannered horses which are eager to escort you on a ride through the countryside. At Ironstone Ranch in Elizabethtown, you can explore 10 miles of horseback trails and learn about brushing and horse care!

All board for an incredible sightseeing tour through Hershey The Sweetest Place on Earth®, complete with an entertaining history lesson and chocolate tasting! The Hershey Trolley Works tour is unlike any trolley tour in the country. Join their enthusiastic and educated tour guides who will share fascinating facts about the sweet history of Hershey, the inspiring life of Milton Hershey, and about the iconic chocolate he created. The trolley tour starts and ends at Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction, where you can hop on the free chocolate tour ride to learn even more about the inner workings of a chocolate factory!

Scooters & Segways

While visiting Hershey & Harrisburg, take a day trip down to Lancaster County’s Strasburg Scooters for a guided tour of the picturesque country roads! If you haven’t had the chance to try a Segway, The Hotel Hershey® offers daily Segway Tours that inform riders about their historic property.
