The USAHEC is the premier research and archival
facility for U.S. Army history and is dedicated to
"Telling the Army story … one Soldier at a time." The
expansive campus includes the Visitor and Education
Center, the U.S. Army War College Library, the U.S.
Army Military History Institute, and the Army Heritage
Trail. The Visitor and Education Center features
the Soldier Experience Interactive Gallery, special
changing exhibits, the museum store, a café, and
rentable multi-purpose rooms available for events.
Ridgway Hall features the library and archives, an
art gallery with exhibitions rotating annually, and
additional changing exhibit spaces. The mile-long,

experience, which allows visitors to walk into different
periods of history represented. Displays include a
scale reproduction of Redoubt Number 10 from the
Revolutionary War, a World War I trench system, a
Vietnam Fire Support Base, as well as other objects
and structures from across the span of Army History.
