Swatara Ferry House

Also known as Old Fort, though it was never used as a fort, the Swatara Ferry House is a 1.5 story log house with a full stone foundation and cellar. The house was in built in two sections, the second section a mirror of the first. The house is built with machine cut nails, placing its construction date sometime between 1800 and 1820. It is the only surviving log home of its type in Dauphin County.
