Pennsylvania Charter Day 2018

Join The Pennsylvania State Archives in celebrating the Commonwealth’s 337th birthday on the 19th Annual Charter Day Sunday, March 11 at The State Museum of Pennsylvania.

Admission to the Museum is free for Charter Day, Sunday, March 11th only and includes all special presentations.

Pennsylvania Charter 12 Noon – 5 PM

  • Stop by and view the Charter with Pennsylvania State Archives staff in Memorial Hall.

Nature Lab 12 Noon – 4:30 PM

  • Nature Lab STEM Librarians from the State Library of Pennsylvania will present “Sherlock Academy – help solve The Case of the Rotten Receipt using forensic handwriting analysis”

Curiosity Connection

  • Curiosity Connection will have free, limited timed-tickets available for 45 minutes of play per hour at 12:15, 1:15, 2:15, 3:15.
  • Free timed tickets are required and must be picked up at the Ground Floor Information Desk. Curiosity Connection tickets are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.

Planetarium

  • NASA: The Future of Human Space Exploration Available Charter Day Only! Join us in the Planetarium for The Future of Human Space Exploration to learn about NASA’s exciting plans for sending humans farther into the solar system than ever before.
  • ShowTimes:12:20 PM, 12:40 PM, 1:00 PM, 1:20 PM, 1:40 PM, 2:00 PM, 2:20 PM, 2:40 PM, 3:00 PM, 3:20 PM, and 3:40 PM
  • Free timed tickets are required and must be picked up at the Ground Floor Information Desk. Planetarium tickets are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.
