We voyage to the sea and back in Benjamin Britten’s stunning interludes from his opera Peter Grimes, we encounter the afterlife as envisioned by Richard Strauss, we hope not to turn to stone with Stacy Garrop’s arresting Becoming Medusa, and we will be captivated by Igor Stravinsky’s depiction of love, struggle, and, ultimately, joy.
