k.d. lang launched her career with a blend of country-rock stylings and playfully punk-like attitude, by turns whimsical and subversive. Over the years, lang has combined her love of country with increasingly sophisticated, emotive torch singing. This Western Canada native is a four-time Grammy Award winner who has fashioned a sound all her own: an elegant and impassioned adult contemporary approach. Just a few of lang’s hits include “Full Moon of Love,” “Calling All Angels,” “Hallelujah,” “Miss Chatelaine,” and “Constant Craving,” which became a Top 40 American hit and won the 1992 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
