Civil War Photography: Details, Daredevils and Discoveries

“Civil War Photography: Details, Daredevil’s and Discoveries” with Garry Adelman @ The National Civil War Museum
Please join us at our fourth program in our 2018 Series of 12 free lectures to the public with “Civil War Photography: Details, Daredevil’s and Discoveries” with Garry Adelman, Civil War Trust.

The Civil War was the first war to be extensively photographed and, for the first time in history, the public was exposed to real-life images of contemporary heroes, faraway fields of battle and the gruesome toll of war. The focus upon the methods, formats, photographers and then-and-now techniques will inform novices and experts alike. And hang onto your hats--Mr. Adelman will cover a lot of ground in a manner available nowhere else!

The 2018 Lessons in History program is free to the public. Regular museum admission applies for entrance to the museum galleries.
