Date Night in Hershey Harrisburg

Couple having dinner at Note Wine Bar in Harrisburg, PA

It doesn’t have to be February to go on a date. And our posting this has nothing to do with a certain holiday. So whenever you want a date in the Hershey Harrisburg Region, we've got you covered.

We don't have anything against chain restaurants. But let's agree that they can sometimes lack the kind of setting and character that can really make for a memorable meal. Restaurant owners continue to find vacant or ready-for-reno spaces in our region’s neighborhoods and they're transforming them into culinary destinations.

note. bistro & wine bar
Calling all winos. This cozy bistro setting has a robust list of European wine. Add to that top-quality food, a romantically lit atmosphere, and delectable desserts and you’ve got a perfect date night. Looking for a lower-cost option? note. bistro & wine bar offers a happy hour on Monday nights with free bites to eat.

1700 Degrees Steakhouse
Where’s the beef!? 1700 Degrees Steakhouse, located inside the Hilton Harrisburg, has what you’re looking for. The restaurant features Midwestern prime beef, dry aged beef, certified angus beef, and sustainable seafood all served by a diligently trained staff. The restaurant has been awarded DiRoNA and AAA Four Diamond awards.

The Mill
What do you do with a historic feed mill? Turn it into one of Hershey’s best farm-to-table restaurants. The exposed brick and wood beams that run throughout the seating areas inside The Mill create an architecturally intriguing experience for you and your date to discuss at length. Head Chef Maureen Fowler is putting the twist on American classics with food sourced from local farms, markets, and fisheries.

Fenicci's
This Italian joint has been serving up Hershey locals with Italian favorites since the 1930s. A downtown staple known for its pasta and pizzas, it has something to make you exclaim "Bellisima!" Locals and return out-of-town visitors know to get the upside down pizza - it's what put Feniccis on the map all those decades ago, along with their pasta sauce. Check Fenicci's calendar of events for great live music on weekends!

Dinner dates aren’t for every couple. If you’re seeking something different, try one of these date night options. Fast paced. High stakes. Culturally appealing.

Racing at Autobahn Indoor Speedway in Harrisburg, PA

Autobahn Indoor Speedway
Do you have a need for speed? Then, get ready to rev your engines because when you get in the go-karts at Autobahn Indoor Speedway you’re gonna fly. Autobahn’s race track puts you in the driver seat of a go-kart that speeds around the track at up to 50 miles per hour. Race your love and let the lose buy dinner or drinks! Nothing like a little friendly competition to set the mood, right?

Hollywood Casino
We wager you'll have a lot of fun at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Track. Get in on the action on the casino floor or bet on your favorite horse. Craps. Blackjack. Slots and more. If your high stakes bets put you in the mood for some high-class steak, Final Cut Steakhouse is on site. For an extra special night, visit the H Lounge on Friday and Saturday nights for live music that will get you and your date dancing.

Midtown Cinema
The Midtown Cinema experience starts in the lobby where it’s all about craft and culture. You must try the local ice cream with off-the-wall but oh-so-delicious flavors from Urban Churn. Their flavors rotate constantly but some of our past favorites have been Banana Nut Bread, Wasabi Cucumber Melon, and Cocoa Chile. There’s a throw-back atmosphere with small crowds instead of throngs of fast-paced movie-goers. See the best independent films and add a little culture to your date night!
