HARRISBURG, PA (Sept. 26, 2019) — Mary Smith, President and CEO of Visit Hershey & Harrisburg (VHH) today announced the hiring of Jason Meckes as Experience Development Director.
In his new role, Meckes will work with regional tourism partners and local stakeholders to develop new comprehensive products and experiences that enhance the visitor experience and attract new audiences to the area.
Meckes previously served as the Executive Director of the Harrisburg Area Riverboat Society, the non-profit organization that owns and operates the iconic Pride of the Susquehanna riverboat.

He was named Central Penn Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2018 and earned a Visit Hershey & Harrisburg Partner In Tourism Award in 2015 for a successful cooperative marketing program he initiated as the Founding Chair for the "Friends of City Island" business group.
