HERSHEY, Pa. – Feb. 23, 2015 – Visitors to Hershey Gardens can enjoy seasonal displays of gorgeous blooming flowers, more than 400 North American butterflies and a unique art sculpture exhibit. The summer art exhibit will feature ordinary materials transformed into extraordinary art by local artists. ArtCycle is a celebration of the transformation from old to new. Using a variety of discarded items, four local artists have created sculptures ranging in size and style. The sculptures are unique interpretations of things seen in nature.

Plein Air Painting Workshop at Hershey Gardens

Hershey Gardens has partnered with the Hershey Area Art Association (HAAA) to offer this art class for adults. Participants use a series of small 9” x 12” loose, fast, black and white studies with large brushes to determine the layout of their composition. Using these studies, students will move into larger 22” x 30” work. Watercolor, acrylic or oil paints can be used. $65 per participant. Learn to Build with Natural Materials at Hershey Gardens
