Come join us on "The prettiest little riverboat this side of the Mississippi!"
The Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat is an authentic stern-driven paddle wheeler built 25 years ago as a community service project by the Harrisburg Area Riverboat Society for the benefit of the people of and visitors to the Harrisburg, PA area. The Riverboat Society is a non-profit, 501-c-3 organization headed by a voluntary board of community leaders. The purpose of our organization includes increased tourism, economic development, and enhanced education regarding the history and ecology of the Susquehanna River and our region.
Since her construction and launch in 1988 under the leadership of local businessman Mike Trephan, the Pride has carried more than a half-million passengers. She’s been used for private functions (meetings, parties, weddings, dinners, anniversaries) as well as public events including dinner cruises, Murder Mystery Cruises, public cruises and the educational Susquehanna River School. More recently, popular events such as the Wine and Cheese Cruise, Wing Night Cruise, Pirates on the Pride, Blues Cruises, Jazzin’ on the Pride, Family Nights, Moonlight Party Cruises, Crab Cruises, and much more have entertained guests from all ages and tastes.
2013 will be the Pride’s 25th Anniversary Season of Service and Fun! We hope you will join us to help celebrate this great year!
Reservations are required for all cruises except public cruises. Please call our office at least 2 weeks in advance if you have a large group planning to join a public cruise. From magnificent sightseeing tours, to River School Educational Voyages, to business meetings, to weddings and parties, to wine, wings and music, the Pride has something for your group!
