Spring. It’s the season that wakes us up and says, “Get up and go!” So, pack up and prepare for a getaway full of kids activities and spring things to do for the entire family.

Sweet Thrills

Start with roaring coasters, dips, drops, hills and thrills at the sweetest amusement park in the world! An early-season trip to Hersheypark® guarantees rides, shows and tasty treats to entertain all ages.

Baseball and Festivals

Walk along Harrisburg's Riverfront where you can cross the walking bridge to catch a Harrisburg Senators ballgame at FNB Field on City Island. It's where big league phenoms like Bryce Harper and Stephen Strasburg played before heading to D.C. to play for the Nationals. City Island and the Riverfront also play host to spring’s traditional handoff to summer during Harrisburg’s ArtsFest. It’s three days of incredible artwork, festival food and endless entertainment for the family over Memorial Day Weekend.

History Comes to Life

The region has a long list of historical sites, interactive museums and kid-friendly attractions for you to visit on your spring break trip. Salute our soldiers when the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center hosts Army Heritage Days. Learn about the amazing life and legacy of Milton Hershey at The Hershey Story and see the State Capitol building that's known as a 'Palace of Art.' These are great indoor activities if rain dampens your outdoor plans, but our museums are perfect for blue sky days too!

Safari

Speaking of outdoor plans, we think every spring day is a get-outside-and-stretch kind of day, so dust off the sneakers and go off the beaten path to our beautiful parks, trails and green spaces. Our furry friends at Lake Tobias Wildlife Park love the nice weather too, so come out and meet them!

Join us and reconnect! Next year as winter melts into spring, you'll remember the time you set out on a family field trip to the Hershey Harrisburg Region. We know you loved it, and we hope you'll come again!
