Family Summer Getaways

Does your packing list look something like this? Sippy cups. Snacks. Tablets. Toiletries. Headphones. Hats. We’re sure the list goes on and on! You bring the necessities for the family and we’ll bring the Family Fun! From the thrilling and wild to the sweetly affordable, you'll find plenty of activities to fill your summer getaway.

Enjoy the Ride

Every ride is a joy ride when you’re in Hershey The Sweetest Place on Earth®. Thrill rides, kiddie rides, and every level in between means sweet family fun at Hersheypark®. In addition to the great rides, the park provides engaging entertainment with staged shows and strolling bands! Don't forget, ZooAmerica® is included in the price of your admission, so don't miss the wild wonders waiting for you there. And to keep that chocolate from melting while you’re dropping from new heights on Hershey Triple TowerTM, save Hershey's Chocolate World Attraction for the end of the day. That way, any goodies you buy can go straight into the air-conditioned car (assuming it doesn't go straight to your mouth!).

Into the Wild

Finding your wild side is easy when you visit Lake Tobias Wildlife Park. Climb aboard an open-air cruiser for a safari excursion that puts you in feeding distance to elk and emus. For an even more exotic experience, head to the park facility that houses alligators and snakes. If you're daring enough, find a staff member with crawling creatures and touch the slimy, the scaly, and the slithery. The petting zoo is the perfect place to wrap up a day of adventure. Kids love petting the camels and feeding the goats. Grab your safari hat and get ready for your family-friendly expedition!

Play Ball

Did you know that you can see two amazing amateur sports teams in the Hershey Harrisburg Region? It's true! The Harrisburg Senators are the AA affiliate of the Washington Nationals and the City Islanders are Harrisburg's United Soccer League team. Make a day at City Island before you catch a game with batting cages, mini golf, and an arcade. Or ride The Pride of the Susquehanna - one of only six authentic river paddleboats in the entire United States! Little fans will love seeing a big game and parents will love that there isn't a big price tag.

More for Less

Speaking of budget friendly, you don’t have to spend your entire vacation fund on a trip to the Hershey Harrisburg Region. For a low cost, your family can explore history at the Pennsylvania State Museum (where a giant statue of William Penn will greet you) and Pennsylvania State Capitol (a National Historic Landmark known for its stunning beauty). Hershey's Chocolate World Attraction offers discounts when you bundle attractions, which means the kids get to make their own chocolate bar, experience chocolate in 4D, and ride the trolley for one price. You can save even more when you buy online in advance! Indian Echo Caverns, Pride of the Susquehanna, and Hershey Gardens all provide stunning scenery without breaking the bank. There’s no need for penny-pinching in the Hershey Harrisburg Region because low-cost doesn’t mean less fun!

So, go ahead and relax! You and the family will have no trouble filling your time in the Hershey Harrisburg Region.

See you soon!
