More than 1,000 orchids representing dozens of orchid varieties, including a variety that smells like chocolate, will be on display from 9 AM to 5 PMin the Milton & Catherine Hershey Conservatory at Hershey Gardens. The exhibit and sale is included in admission to Hershey Gardens.
Provided by the Susquehanna Orchid Society (SOS), the 34rd annual orchid show and sale will feature rare species and unique hybrids, including Cattleyas, Dendrobriums, Vandas, Oncidiums and Phragmipediums, to name a few. Sharry Baby, a variety that smells like chocolate, also will be featured. Showy displays will be judged on-site and presented with awards; several orchids displayed at previous SOS shows have received national recognition by the American Orchid Society.
