Allenberry Resort’s Murder Mystery weekends are back…with a vengeance! Enjoy an exciting weekend of fun and frivolity, death and deceit at “A Recipe for Murder,” written by 10-year murder mystery veteran, Elizabeth Angelozzi. Availability is limited and we anticipate they will sell out quickly!
Allenberry is searching for a new chef to add to our talented kitchen staff. To make sure that we hire the perfect person, our new manager has assembled an expert panel of judges from the competition cooking show, “Sliced,” to see how they work under fire. When too many cooks spoil the broth, guests start dropping like hot potatoes. With a little help from the Boiling Springs Police Department we’ll find out who’s going to bring home the bacon and whose goose is cooked.
Your culinary caper begins on Friday evening with light appetizers and aperitifs in Fairfield Hall to stimulate your appetite and anticipation of the adventure to come. We will then visit the Playhouse for the first scene – the cooking competition! Dinner will be a delectable offering of each of the featured chef’s fancy held in the Carriage Room provided along with a glass of wine or beer.
On Saturday, begin a morning of refreshment at Allenberry’s tranquil and picturesque property after a continental breakfast. Take a stroll around the winter wonderland, schedule a relaxing massage or spa treatment, or head into the lovely local towns of Boiling Springs or Carlisle. Return to the mystery over lunch and then experience a rejuvenating afternoon full of freedom.
On Saturday night, we will reconvene for a cocktail party with a cash bar and dinner with a glass of wine or beer, followed by a costume party! Dress like your favorite culinary character for a chance to win awards the following morning. The evening will conclude with a live band, dancing, and singing by our own talented cast.
The cooking culprit will be revealed at Sunday morning’s brunch, along with presentation of awards.
