Encampments include Confederate infantry units, loading and firing demonstrations and much more!
Living history schedule*:
- July 1-2: 2nd South Carolina, Co. I
- August 12-13: 14th Tennessee, Co. B
- September 9-10: 1st Maryland Battalion
- September 16 -17: Thompson’s Battery C
Museum visitors will see the flash and smell the smoke of Civil War muskets and rifles. Visitors are encouraged to visit the camps and ask living historians questions about their attire, food rations and daily life. Most infantry groups perform loading and firing demonstrations each day.
Saturday demonstrations are at 11:00am, 1:00pm & 3:00pm and Sunday demonstrations are at 1:00pm & 3:00pm.
The 2017 summer living history program is free to the public. Regular museum admission applies for entrance to the museum galleries.
