Art In The Wild: Naturally Inspired Trailside Creations

Art In The Wild was conceived with the goals of presenting quality outdoor art using natural materials, providing educational opportunities and community involvement. The works of art are composed of mostly natural materials to blend with Wildwood’s nature setting. The project was open to all. The exhibit is one more way to bring awareness to Wildwood’s mission – preserving, enhancing and interpreting the Park’s resources.

Visit naturally inspired trailside creations of this environmental outdoor art exhibit sited along Wildwood Park’s wandering trails and water pools. Using mostly natural materials, artists have constructed large and small installations. A map-brochure about the exhibit is available.

Playful and intriguing art to delight, confound or give pause to the viewer is the challenge. Art can range from a woven object hanging from a tree limb and blowing in a breeze, to an involved wood or stone structure.

Exhibit runs from April 8 – October 31, 2017.
