A Visit From Uncle Ed: Living History at Wheatland

During this living history program visitors portray Mr. Buchanan's neighbors back in the summer of 1865. Mr. Buchanan is 74-years old, yet despite his advanced years he is healthy and continues to comment on national politics. Today his younger brother, Reverend Edward Y. Buchanan, will be visiting with his wife and daughter, Annie. As you visit you will discover Buchanan's excitement about the proofs for his new book as he and Edward debate President Johnson's troubles what the future holds for former Vice President Breckinridge who is now displaced in Cuba.
