50th year, Art of the State®
Celebrating its 50th year, Art of the State® is the annual, juried exhibition held at The State Museum of Pennsylvania. With an established tradition of exhibiting highly creative art chosen by a distinguished panel of jurors, Art of the State is open to Pennsylvania artists and craftspeople.
Cash prizes are awarded for selected entries in the categories of: Painting, Craft, Work on Paper, Photography and Sculpture.
An artist’s reception and awards ceremony will be held June 11, 2017 at The State Museum. This gala reception is free and open to the public giving citizens an opportunity to engage with Pennsylvania’s finest artists. Typically more than 600 artists, art patrons and interested parties, attend the reception.
Art of the State is presented by Jump Street and The State Museum of Pennsylvania to provide an opportunity for both established and emerging Pennsylvania artists to exhibit their work and receive statewide recognition.
