Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art is proud to announce the 23rd Annual Wildlife Art Auction, in the Ned Smith Gallery at the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art in Millersburg.
Registration and silent auction opens at 9:30am, live auction begins at noon. Art connoisseurs will gather to capture a glimpse of some rare wildlife art and a chance to own original artwork by some of Pennsylvania’s greatest artists.
The Center’s Wildlife Art Auction features the largest collection of Ned Smith prints and originals in one auction, including some very rare and highly sought-after pieces.
Proceeds support the Ned Smith Center’s education-centered mission. The Center provides hundreds of nature and art programs to schools and groups of all ages and exhibits of nationally renowned artists. In addition to an abundance of work by Ned Smith, the auction will feature pieces by Robert Bateman, Gerald Putt, R.C. Kray, Stephen Leed, Laura Mark-Finberg and many more.
Art featured in the auction is currently on display in the Center’s Olewine Gallery. A printed catalog of all pieces is available at the Center, and an online version is available on the Center’s website, www.nedsmithcenter.org.
The Wildlife Art Auction is one of the Center’s most important annual fundraising events. All artwork is either donated for the auction, with proceeds going to the Center, or sold on consignment with a portion of the proceeds going to the Center.
