It’s that time of year when the Winter Blues can be at their “bluest.” Mother Nature teases us with flashes of sunshine in between monster winds and a cold that just can't say goodbye.
Chin up! Spring (with summer at its heels) really is right around the corner, and we wanted to give you some reasons to be excited about what’s in store as the snow clears out of the Hershey Harrisburg Region.
The Millworks Restaurant Open March 12
It’s a restaurant. It’s an artist studio. It’s a gathering place in the center of a revived Midtown neighborhood and it’s very, very cool. The Harrisburg dining scene has been bursting with new or renovated businesses, and we’re excited to share one of the newest, most unique venues to open in our region. The Millworks Harrisburg combines good food, the arts and a sense of history to give visitors a memorable, multi-faceted experience.
The restaurant features a farm-to-table seasonal menu, with pizzas and other select menu items cooked in a wood-fired brick oven repurposed from an historic Perry County property. Everything on the menu has ingredients sourced from a local farm.
Before or after your meal, browse the unique works of more than 30 artists who rent studio space on the property. There are painters, photographers, crafts, weavings, jewelry design, knitters, repurposed clothing and accessories and more.
The Biergarten is an open-air space where patrons can enjoy a full service from the main kitchen and bar, and a view of the main dining area and several artist studios. Learn More.
