Brewfest at Fort Hunter returns for third year to HHR
Breweries & bands highlight the Dauphin County event on Saturday, July 19, 2014.
Harrisburg, PA – Groove to live music under the sun and enjoy craft beer tasting at the third annual Dauphin County BrewFest from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 19 at historic Fort Hunter Park in Harrisburg.
Participating breweries include Troegs, Great Lakes Brewing Co., Samuel Adams, Appalachian Brewing Co., Penn Brewing Co., Millbock Brewing Co., Long Trail, Otter Creek, Victory Brewing Co., Traveler Beer Co., and Starr Hill Brewery. New to the event this year is Liquid Hero Brewing Co., Straub Brewery, Lancaster Brewing Co., Just Beer Project, Evolution Craft Brewery, Deschutes Brewery and Shiner. A tasting glass will be given to those attending the event.
Local band, Colebrook Road, will kick off the live music for the event. Mark DeRose, a local artist who plays with numerous area bands, will also perform. The Ogham Stones, an Irish group from Lancaster, will perform later in the day.
ReHAB (Regional Harrisburg Area Brewers) will offer educational brewing sessions for those interested in learning how to make beer.
Food vendors -- including MoMo’s BBQ & Grill, Camp Curtin BBQ, Mad Sandwich and more -- will offer free samples throughout the evening. Food is also available for purchase.
Limited tickets are still available. Advance ticket sales are $35, and admission is $50 at the gate. Designated-driver tickets are available for $15. Please note that designated drivers will not be served alcohol. Tickets may be purchased at Mr. Mike’s Records, the Dauphin County Parks and Recreation’s office at Fort Hunter Park and online at www.dauphincounty.org/parks-recreation.
