Hershey Celebrates Milton Hershey’s Birthday

Hershey residents and visitors are invited to celebrate the 156th birthday of founder and chocolate magnate Milton S. Hershey, who was born on September 13, 1857.

Milton Hershey School’s Founders Hall: 1:00pm – 7:00pm
See beautiful flower arrangements at a free flower show presented by Hershey Horticulture Society. Floriculture students from Milton Hershey School will also be presenting arrangements. Continues on Saturday, September 14 from 10:00am – 3:00pm.

Hershey’s® Chocolate World® Attraction: 4:00pm
Participate in a celebratory cake cutting at 4:00pm in the food court area. Continues on Saturday, September 14 at 2:30pm with a special parade through Hershey's® Chocolate World® Attraction. The Hersheypark™ band and the Hershey's® product characters will lead the way!

ChocolateTown Square*: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
The Hershey Story Museum will host a free concert by "The Tunesters of Central PA," featuring music from Milton Hershey's lifetime and the "happy birthday" song. There will also be a short re-dedication of the Milton S. Hershey Stamp plaque that was donated to the community by the Milton Hershey School Alumni Association. At the conclusion of the concert, cupcakes courtesy of Milton Hershey School and Hershey’s® milk chocolate bars courtesy of The Hershey Company will be distributed.

*ChocolateTown Square is located at 20 W. Chocolate Avenue, across from The Hershey Story Museum. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be held in the Grand Lobby of The Hershey Story Museum.
