Kipona Wine Art and Blues Festival

Kipona Wine Art and Blues Festival

Aug 31, 2013

The City of Harrisburg's annual Kipona Festival will be a host of events including; the annual Keystone Regional Chili Cook-off, Native American Pow-Wow, "Breath of Nature" Karate Tournament and Bassmasters Fishing Tournamnet.

***New to this year's Kipona Festival will be the Wine Village, New Jersey Outlaws Motor Boat Racing and Harrisburg Healthy Cafe.***

This year the Kipona is also raising Awareness for Autism. The number of children diagnosed with autism has skyrocketed in the past decade with much debate as to why. While there is no one answer to why, we know that early diagnosis is crucial. The City of Harrisburg believes that fact alone is worthy to raise awareness during one of it's largest festivals.

Come out and enjoy music, food, rides, games, boat racing, fishing, karate and so much more!
Festival Hours:

  • Aug. 31, 2013 (Noon to 9:00 pm)
  • Sept. 1, 2013  (Noon to 9:00 pm)
  • Sept. 2, 2013  (Noon to 7:00 pm)

*The Kipona Festival is one of the oldest waterfront festivals in the United States and features the largest fireworks display in Pennsylvania over Labor Day weekend.
